Experience a unique night-time guided tour of Rutherford County Tennessee’s most famous historic mansion. Walk the dimly lit halls as your guide, Special Events Representative, Connor Moss, regales you with tales of the macabre traditions surrounding death and dying in the 19th century. The lights will be low. The mirrors draped in black. Coffins sit quietly in the parlor awaiting grieving mourners. You can almost hear a funeral dirge played faintly in the distance.
This exclusive experience will be offered on Thursday, October 24, 2024 to small groups of 20 guests or fewer. Tours will begin on the hour at 7:00 PM, 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Admission is $30.00 for adults and students ages 12 & up. This event is not recommended for small children.
“Bring a flashlight. After visiting the mansion, you are welcome to take a walk on the dimly lit trails of the wetlands and see the eerie reflections of Maney Spring” said James Manning, Executive Director of Oaklands Mansion. In addition to the mansion and grounds, the Museum Shop will also be open for the evening. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served in the mansion and seating will be provided in the herb garden.”

Oaklands Mansion is nestled in Oaklands Park, a native tree arboretum and natural wetlands, which includes Maney Spring as well as heritage and native gardens.
