Annual Ar-“beer”-etum Wetlands & Gardens Tour

Presented by Liquid Smoke and The Humidor

Join Oaklands Mansion for a unique experience on the grounds of Oaklands Park. Explore this Nationally Registered historic and pre-historic site, now open as a public park. Along the pathways, you will find multiple beer sampling stations provided by downtown Murfreesboro’s Liquid Smoke. Their expert staff members have chosen beer with notes that highlight the trees you will find along the way.

This event will take place on Sunday, April 13th, 2025 from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM by reservation only. Oaklands Mansion is nestled in Oaklands Park, a native tree arboretum and natural wetlands, which includes Maney Spring as well as heritage and native gardens. The guided grounds tour will include an overview of the arboretum, wetlands, and gardens.

Oaklands Park is downtown Murfreesboro’s largest public green space and home to a natural wetland area, a rarity for such a densely populated community,” says Connor Moss, Special Events Representative & Master Gardener at Oaklands Mansion. “The park provides a fascinating study area for both its wildlife and plant life, and late April is a wonderful time to visit.”

Admission for the grounds tour is $35.00 per person, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the maintenance and preservation of the grounds and arboretum. Reservations are required as space is limited. Please be aware that the entirety of the grounds tour will take place outside and requires extensive walking. Allow one hour for the tour and dress appropriately for the weather. After your grounds tour, you are welcome to explore the mansion where staff members will be available to answer any questions.
