On July 3, 2015, from 11:00-3:00pm Oaklands welcomes our community and visiting guests here to celebrate Independence Day to picnic at Oaklands.
Pack a lunch and cozy up on one of our checkered picnic blankets, enjoy one of our many rocking chairs on the lawn of Oaklands plantation, or bring your own lawn chair. Enjoy live music featuring local band Bonnie and Bonnie while children play 19th century lawn games or even take a tour of the mansion from one of our fantastic guides who bring history to life!
“We will have something for everyone. Whether you’d like to stroll in our beautiful gardens, enjoy a live concert from a favorite local band, or play lawn games, this is a delightful way to spend the day at Oaklands,” said Special Events Coordinator, Raina van Setter.
